Luxury of Morning

Luxury of Morning

Savoring
rich luxury of morning,
no scheduled place of arrival-
Lingering
over a hot cup of tea
and some poetry books,
these moments richer than gold-
Sacred
like church on Sunday,
without it's dogmatic droning,
what is truly spiritual?
Appreciation
of the present moment,
keenly aware
it too shall pass,
as afternoon, again,
becomes evening.

  3. I wrote a poem along similar lines, too. I believe the ideal "place" of worship is wherever we are in the present moment...and nature seems to remind me most often to "be there."

  5. Oh, yes. I need more of those moments. It makes everything you rush around to do all the time, have a reward.

  10. Spiritual (to me) is where you feel 'at one' within/without.

  13. What a lovely poem.
an elegy to the 'blessed' moment! …it too shall pass.
the poem reads so pleasantly that I pick up that ''appreciation'' of the sacred moment from the lines.

    very, very nice.
