There is Gentle Mercy

Cemetery near Charleston, South Carolina

There is Gentle Mercy

There is gentle mercy
Glimpsed,
At the raw edge of pain.
That to know love,
Is to know loss.
A quiet breeze
Brushed,
Across a sun-warmed cheek.

  1. That was just beautiful! It gave so much mood and so much universal understanding in just a few short phrases. I don't know how you do it!

  3. Very contemplative. I feel this one quite keenly, since my mother passed away just a few days ago. I can't wait to feel that breeze.

  5. Bubba, I'm sorry for your loss. The breeze will come and with it, a gift of seeing things with new eyes. I look at each experience of loss in this way. Thanks everyone for your support.
